Malaysia Wedding Photographer- Edwin Tan

Finally! It was Winon and Yi Wen’ actual wedding day on 29th October 2011.. and I am honoured to be their photographer since the day Winon propose, ROM, Prewedding and until their Actual Wedding Day… Let me tell you the whole story. please bear with me with lots of images and writing with broken english ya….. lol.. hmm let me see, I have to start from year 2009…..

My Story

One day, I receive a call from Winon asking to meet up for prewedding discussion. So, I set up the appointment after my 1st ever experience sharing on Canon 5D mark 2 at Mid Valley invited by Zung. I still remember we were sitting at La Vanilla restaurant and in the mid of discussion, Zung came over and told them, “ohh you are Edwin’s client? yes, pls engage him! ” hahaha.. and that time, Winon told me… “hey, we are looking for a photographer who can capture our wedding start from ROM , Prewedding and until Actual Wedding Day”….. I was like.. hmm okok, we shall see…..so, days later, they confirm my service on ROM and would wanna see how it goes before engaging me for their prewedding and actual wedding day photographer…. and days before their ROM, I received call that Winon would like to do a surprise proposal at Bijou.

Proposal

yes, while Winon and Yiwen enjoying their dinner in the restaurant, videographer, decorators and myself already waited outside for almost 2 hours.. hahaha ok la, i think it is only like an hour .. but but but.. it was dark and cold outside with all those mosquito ! , well, it was my first experience on shooting proposal. It was kinda challenging for me that time given everything happen so fast after they return to the restaurant. ROM

Prewedding and Wedding Ceremony at France

A ten days journey begin after so much of discussion and preparation, they are already travelling to some European countries before we depart from Malaysia and we were meeting them in Santorini itself. It was my first Europe Prewedding assignment and we traveled from Malaysia-London-Athen-Santorini-Nante-Paris-London-Malaysia. Click here for the posting details.

A good number of images were submitted to WPPI/ AGWPJA/ WPJA/ IPA which return with multiple awards and some images were featured in both local and international magazines. Let me share with you here some of the images and click here for the awards details. Thank for giving us the unforgettable memories and experience…..the fun that we had, the travel… the time we spend.. all these memories will certainly last for a life time for me…

oh yes, not forgetting Winon and YiWen also won a prize from The Star with the image I captured for them during the engagement portraiture in Nante, France.

 

Actual Day

Before the actual wedding day, we still keep in touched, mostly in facebook hahaha and ya.. the BBQ section at your place..the coffee tasting..the surprise birthday party for Agnes and our VIE Gallery opening!

It is not easy for someone to make the decision and assign a person to be as their as photographer to capture the moment from the day one Proposal , ROM, Prewedding and until Actual Wedding Day. I would like to express my appreciation on entrusting me as your photographer and treasure our friendship a lot. Beside, I do appreciate your ” thank you speech” during the wedding dinner itself when you address me as your friend instead of photographer….it is one of the happiest moments for me… really…..

So, shall I continue to be your photographer and friend to witness for your honeymoon, maternity, new born child, birthday celebration and dont forget your new factories opening and annual dinner, my friends? hahahahahah…
