Good day, As normal begining part of the introduction, my name is Edwin Tan…..
Back in May 2007, when I bought my first DSLR Canon 400D, my intention was to record the precious moments for my family. I was in photography classes during my study in The One Academy back in 1990’s when I was teenager. During film time. I still remember the time I spend on developing film, and photo outing at dataran merdeka to capture the magic hour moments. Everything was so exciting and I fall in love with photography since then even it was just a semester with less than 13 classes. However, due to financial problem, I have to quit The One Academy and join a gas industry. As developing films are very expensive at that point of time, I have to hold back on photography After all these years, when i am back into photography, I started shooting portrait and some still life and same time was thinking may be marco photography will be my choice..However, in July 2007, after I join one of the master of wedding photographers in Malaysia, Zung, ThePhotoz’s workshop, the slideshow that Zung show us really touched me and it turn out to be my passion and my part time job now. I love wedding photography so much and it is the most satisfied moment for me when I see how the couple appreciate and happy about the images and moments that I capture for them no matter how tired I am at the end of the shooting session.

The 1st ever Rainy day wedding that I ever took. An easy going couple. During the assignment, my partner, Stephen fall and injured himself while 2 of his lens and camera bodies are in total damaged. Luckily we get some nice shoots for the day.. some of the highlights as below:

A New Era for MyWeddingMomentz

After a year of partnership with Stephen and with our recent successful membership application on international wedding photographer association (AGWPJA for both of us) we finally decided to have our own company for photography assignment. This new company will focus on wedding and events photography job assignment and we are committed and delegated to this new company : MWM Photography

Just in case you wonder, what is MWM, it stand for My Wedding Momentz Photography.

Congrats to my partner, Stephen Low who recently awarded by AGWPJA on the membership application approval. This will not only showing that MyWeddingMomentz is now international recognized wedding photographers with Stephen and myself as AGWPJA’s member, it also give confidence to couples who engage with our services.

A little details on AGWPJA :

The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is comprised of outstanding wedding photographers, who are at the forefront of the wedding photography industry when it comes to enhancing images. The chief objective of the [AG]WPJA is to provide members with a platform where the finest enhanced, manipulated and/or artistic wedding photojournalism in the world is spotlighted and promoted for the bride and groom.

The [AG]WPJA is a separate division of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). Whereas the WPJA upholds strict guidelines that forbid excessive picture manipulation, the [AG]WPJA encourages and fosters creative image enhancement, with the vision of promoting Fine Art Wedding Photojournalists.

The [AG]WPJA establishes and upholds high standards that are taken into consideration during the judging process for our wedding photography contests. Using all artistic tools at their disposal, members skillfully enliven their work in post production processing.
